States and the HOME Program: Integrating HOME and Other Federal Requirements into the Development Process

Course Description

This seminar highlights options for how states can approach developing HOME projects directly or through partners such as CHDOs, units of local government or subrecipients. The course will walk states through the “life cycle” of project development from the distribution of funds to final close-out. During this seminar, the instructors will discuss how the HOME regulatory requirements, as well as other Federal requirements, are triggered at each stage of the project development process. It will also highlight approaches to overseeing and monitoring state partners.

Who Should Attend

This is an intermediate seminar that is appropriate for State PJ staff. Participants need to have passed the HOME Certified Specialist - Regulations exam, taken Building HOME or have at least one year of experience in working with HOME programs to attend this session.
