Show Me the Money: Financial Management for Participating Jurisdictions

Course Description

This course covers the essentials of financial management under the HOME and other HUD community development programs and it discusses the federal requirements for financial accounting, including planning, budgeting, setting up financial reporting systems, documenting costs, and other reporting and compliance issues. Frequently asked questions will be discussed and pertinent OMB circulars will be reviewed. The course includes information necessary to adequately monitor subrecipients on financial topics and to comply with Federal financial and uniform administrative requirements.

Who Should Attend

State, county, and local government representatives and nonprofit organization staff. This course is appropriate for any individual managing finances under the HOME Program.
