Fitting the Pieces Together: Using Private and Public Financing Tools with HOME-Assisted Homebuyer Programs

Course Description

This seminar reviews how single family lending is conducted in the private sector, including loan underwriting, the secondary mortgage market, and loan servicing. It reviews HOME program requirements for homeownership and identifies ways PJs can underwrite and finance single-family housing. This class also addresses how HOME can be used to address mortgage foreclosure issues in your community.

Who Should Attend

PJ and CHDO or other HOME-eligible nonprofit staff should attend this intermediate-level class. Attendees should already have a basic understanding of homeownership activities under HOME.
