Cross Cutting Federal Requirements

Course Description

The Federal Requirements course focuses on cross-cutting CDBG program requirements in four key areas: Environmental Review, Fair Housing, Federal Labor Standards and Acquisition and Relocation. Although the statutory and regulatory provisions in these areas are not specific to the CDBG program, all grantees, sub-grantees and sub-recipients must comply with these requirements in order to maintain program funding. The course encompasses four distinct modules and includes a combination of lecture and interactive exercises. It provides attendees with a practical overview of complex compliance issues.

Who Should Attend

Federal Requirements is appropriate for both Entitlement and state grantee staff who need practical knowledge of these key subjects to insure that their program remains in compliance. The course is particularly well-suited to staff that work closely with sub-grantees and sub-recipients.
